Bought an Olympus μ Tough 3000. With it was bundled the Olympus ib software. Gave it a cursory look. The only feature of value was its ability to adjust the time and date setting of the camera to the time on the computer. Do not buy as there is plenty of stuff available for free. If it is your first software for digital photographs and it came with your camera, go ahead and use it so long as it does not cause your computer to crash. Looks fairly reasonable.
The real reason for writing here is the problem it appeared to cause my computer. Soon after install the mouse would freeze and timers would stop. Strange things happened with the display. Yellow tinted vertical lines or just shaded lines appeared and the image became indistinct. Lots of blue screens pointing to a problem with the display adaptor. Not expert but I suspect some naughty routine effecting one of the clocks. Anyway, removed the software and the problem went at the same time. Using Windows 7 professional.
It`s a fantastic program for downloading fast and easy all the things you want!
